Community Grants

In 2007, Lafarge Aggregates & Concrete UK donated more than £820,000 to community projects around the UK.

There are two ways local charities and community organisations can apply for grants:

Charitable Donations Programme
Charities and community organisations are encouraged to apply for a cash or materials donation. To be eligible for consideration, your organisation must be located within three miles of an operational Lafarge Aggregates & Concrete UK site or be otherwise affected by our operations – please contact Lafarge's charity advisor on the details below for further information. Use our location finder to find out which Lafarge Aggregates & Concrete UK site is nearest you.

All requests for cash or materials donations must be made in writing, with details of your organisation and/ or project. If you are requesting a materials donation, please indicate the type and quantity of material, when it is needed and if you require delivery or will be collecting the material.

We endeavour to respond to all requests within 14 working days.

The Landfill Communities Fund
Under certain circumstances, it may be appropriate for an organisation to apply for funding through the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF). To explain how local groups can apply for funding for a wide range of community and environmental projects, Lafarge has produced a leaflet that can be downloaded from here.

We work closely with the Derbyshire Environmental Trust which administers the fund on behalf of Lafarge. For further information about the scheme, and to see if your project is eligible visit the Entrust website.
