Group Sustainability Ambitions 2012

Three major priorities:
- Fighting against global warming
- Enhancing biodiversity
- Health & Safety of our workforce

Objectives in three categories
- Management: eg safety, communities, customer satisfaction
- Social: eg employee diversity, employee skills, health
- Environmental: eg auditing, quarry restoration, biodiversity.

Setting goals to motivate our improvement
We have measured where we are and set ourselves the goal of making major improvements over the next five years with targets covering areas such local stakeholders, customers, biodiversity, emissions and health.

Our commitment
The world is evolving quickly and the building materials sector is undergoing a substantial transformation to take on these new challenges. Sustainability Ambitions 2012 should advance us along the road to the long-term leadership to which all our teams are committed. Regardless of how ambitious these goals are, we are committed to achieving them because they will make a real difference. In achieving our goals we will make a tangible contribution towards a better environment and society.
